Christ Church in the community, both locally and worldwide

The bells of Christ Church can be heard ringing out over Colliers Wood most Sunday mornings and on other occasions. The parish covers Colliers Wood and some of Mitcham, although we have members in our congregation from Merton, Morden and Tooting.

The church has built up close links with the local primary school, Singlegate, which included children taking part in one of our Christmas services and their support in allowing us to raise funds for the church at their summer fair.

There is a Residential Home for the elderly in Colliers Wood called Woodlands House. We have a lively service with hymn singing and Holy Communion there once a month. At Christmastime our handbell ringing team go along to play carols and they enjoy that.

We invite local neighbours, businesses and schools as well as Colliers Wood Community Choir and Merton Abbey Singers to our special Christmas Carol Service each year. We also hold a Christingle service for children; parents who have had their children baptised at Christ Church are invited to this service and to other family services during the year, such as Mothering Sunday.
