There are many opportunities to explore and grow in faith:
Meditation Group: Every Wednesday – 6pm – Christ Church
The Meditation Group at Christ Church meets at 6.00pm each Wednesday evening. We follow the methods of the World Community of Christian Meditation (WCCM) founded by John Mann. Each session starts with a short teaching about meditation, a centring exercise and 20 minutes of silent meditation. Everyone is welcome, whether you have experience of meditation or not. The sessions last for 30-40 minutes.
Finding Sanctuary – Monday 7.15-7.45pm – St Johns, High Path
Finding Sanctuary is a space for quiet prayer, meditation or contemplation. No singing, standing up or complicated order of service – just a reflective period in which to recharge our batteries during another busy week in our lively, bustling city.
People of faith, those of none, and those who would like to have more are all welcome as we nurture our inner selves in the presence of God.
God in the Pub: First Sunday of the Month – 7.30pm – The Sultan
This discussion group meets on the first Sunday of each month at about 8.30pm in The Sultan, 78 Norman Road, SW19 1BT. The topics are varied ranging from prayer to vanity. The discussion is informal and good natured. We aim to finish by 9.30pm.
There are also various study groups (look out on the Notice Board) and many interesting workshops and courses run by Southwark Diocese; for more information see their website southwark.anglican.org
